* Leiden (15km) ‘city of discoveries’
This beautiful old city has a lot to offer and can be reached by bike, train or car. With its many terraces and restaurants, Leiden is a lively city. Enjoy the historical buildings and let a guide take you back in time while telling you all about the history of the city. If the weather is not so nice, visit one of the 13 museums that are worth visiting.
* Gouda ( 14km) ‘say cheese’
Gouda is just a small city but full of Dutch history. Visit the cheesemarket or see the famous stained Glass of the Sint-Jans church.
* Delft (35km) ‘city of Delft Blue’
Famous for its Delft blue, city of painter Vermeer and where many members of the Royal Family married and got buried.
* The Hague (31km) ‘royal city by the sea’
The Hague is the city where the political heart of Holland beats, where the King of the Netherlands has his office in his working-palace and where you can find yourself a giant in Madurodam, a small country’s highlights. The Hague is easy to reach by car and by public transport. On the Park&Ride areas on the outskirt of the city you can park safely and cheap and get a ticket for public transport for free! A excellent way to explore this interesting city.
